Nina dan bunga.

I was never a fan of flowers except when it comes to tulips. Tulips have the softest spot in my heart probably because of how hard it is to get tulips in Malaysia. Or maybe because i have to travel to overseas in order for me to see the real fresh tulips. Anyways, that is how my blog name was invented. This blog post is not about tulips. Tulip is still my favourite flower but since the chances to see fresh tulips are slim, i have broaden my choices into many many different flowers.

When i was in my teen years, Abah used to bring me to nurseries a lot just for me to see whatever plants that may fancy me and he would've paid for it. He is not a gardening enthusiast but my Tok definitely does fall into that category. She had all these beautiful orchids with variety colors planted in different type of pots that she would've arranged them neatly along the wall of her house. Every single morning without failure, except when she's not well or out for another adventure, she would go down of the house to water and talk to the plants.

They say, when you communicate with your plants, they will bloom like semekarnya cinta mu padaku okbye. But i've tried and it is true. It's like you're giving all the positive auras to the plants. There was a time when i praised Tok for her orchids while hinting of wanting to own one of them but she has never taken my hint or maybe she did but she loves her orchids so much that she would've never given them to someone who is not a green hand, especially someone like me.

So when i finally get to see orchids the other day, i know that i shouldn't be missing any chances of taking a picture with them. Well, it wasn't one. It was many many pictures, probably bulks of it.

It was the later that i know that perempuan dan bunga, berpisah tiada. Even if you don't like flowers initially, there must be a type of flowers that would've caught your eyes. In my case, after tulips, it was orchids. Then now, i have fallen in love with bougainvillea. I mean, come on. I used to hate bougainvillea but now i am stuck in this love-hate relationship with the flower. I am a bunga afterall.
