There's one thing about Korea that we could've never had missed out; FOOD. That's the most obvious thing to be done when you're travelling in Korea. Waking up in the morning, getting ready, going to the nearest mart or convenience store just to buy banana milk or any kind of drinks sold in the store and hunting for good foods again. The cycle went rolling over and over again for the whole 7 and a half days.
So when we reached Itaewon, the first thing that we looked for was food. I mean, not light food. The real and proper brunch meal.
One thing that you have to know about Seoul, most of their restaurants only start operating at 10 am. Our biggest problem on that day was;
1. We reached there to early; 9.15 am.
2. Their restaurants were not yet opened.
3. We were very hungry.
4. The only store that was operating was their 24 Hours Mart.
We ended up buying Tuna Kimchi Fried Rice and Grape Milk at the mart. Still, there was 45 minutes to kill before we could have a proper meal but i tell you, it was all worth waiting.
Presenting to you, our brunch for the day. Their bulgogi and samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) are definitely the best dishes that we had on that day.
After that, off we went to Itaewon Mosque for a quick visit. Not so quick since we waited for Zuhr prayer too. No photo of Itaewon Mosque here since there were only photos of me in front of the mosque and I look bad in those photos.
A picture of photographic looking wall of Itaewon Mosque will do i think.
We went to Namsan Tower straight away after that. One of our best decision was to climb the staircase to Namsan Tower instead of taking cable cars and we would've never regretted the decision that we made. The scenery along the journey was fantastic. You could see Seoul city from their observing deck; which you can only go if you were to climb the stairs.
On our way to Namsan Tower. This uncle actually stopped when I was taking his photo. This happened quite frequent whenever i was about to take random shots of passersby. I don't know is it their policy or whatnot that whenever you realize a stranger is about to take a random photo of you, you'd have to stop.
Caught these two paparazzis trying to take photos of some random Koreans with the newly bloomed cherry blossoms. They happen to be siblings.
Me with Namsan Tower as the background.
The first performance that we saw when we reached Namsan Tower.
One of the main things about going overseas; do not hesitate whenever you want to purchase a souvenir. So i bought myself a very nice handcrafted key chain at their souvenir store. I was satisfied and it surely made my day.
We went for Kpop hunting next, specifically JYP. It was a terrifying long journey to JYP. We only managed to see the building without seeing any recognizable Kpop artist. Okay, i wasn't that terrified. Anyways, we did encounter a Kpop celebrity whom i barely recognized because he hid his face with cap and mask.
I'm not sure how many places did we actually go on that day but i'm pretty sure IT WAS A LOT because by the time we reached our room, i couldn't feel my legs. But anyways, right after what we called as Failed Kpop Hunting, we went to Hangang Park to get a night view of Hangang River and also, to get our evening snack at Floating Islands.
A blurry photo of me next to Hangang River.
A very nice and tasty snack for us on the cold evening. This is definitely one of the best desert we ever had in Korea. Even when we're back in Malaysia we still looked for it.
And as usual, we went back to Myeongdong Street to get our midnight snack; gyeran bbang. It was something that i could barely avoid. That ends our night.
