Sarawak on a bright side.

Assalamualaikum

So last weekend my classmates and I went to Serikin to seek for cheap clothes. Serikin is located in between Sarawak and Indonesia which made it located in sempadan. Hence, you can meet a lot of Indonesians there. But as for me, I could hardly recognize which one is Indonesian and which one is Sarawakian because their dialects are almost the same.

I woke up at 5.30 am which was actually hard for me because I went to bed late the night before. And Ain and I had to get ourselves ready by 6.30 am to rush for a rental car which I had booked from a UiTM senior. We started our journey at 7.30 am because we had to wait for the akak to give the car to us, went back to campus to pick our another three friends which then made the total of us to be 5 and filled in the petrol.

It took almost 2 hours to get us to Serikin from Samarahan. And believe me, the scenery along the journey was really breathtaking. Unfortunately, I was driving and I couldn't managed to take photos of the scenery.

A photo in front of the entrance of Pasar Serikin of course! (Too many of --")

This is a guitar shop that sell the cheapest guitar at RM150. I was clueless about guitar or any other musical instruments and these infos are all from Michelle, my classmate.

Then we had a pit stop at Bakso Muslim stall which I believed the cook there were Javanese Indonesians. The bakso tasted great except that they made it less spicy. But the thing is that, they served the each of the bakso with 7-8 meatballs which was a highlight for me because I love meatballs so much. But still bakso HUKM wins!

On our way back from Serikin Market, we had a stop at Gua Batu (I think, according to Miss Rumaizah, our Calculus lecturer). The cave is believed to be the Buddhist praying place because we saw a Buddha statue in front of the cave. Ain and I did not went in because first, I thought it's a common thing as the one that I saw in Le Khaokob Cave during my Thailand trip. Second, I thought I should not be there because it won't give me any goods (I cannot take photo in there. So what's the need).

Then, we made our way to City One Kuching to perform our prayer but unfortunately we couldn't find the praying room. So we just went to Popular to find some reading materials since we had just done with our tests. I got myself Eleanor & Park which I have read like 2/3 of the novel and then I stopped because it was quite boring in the middle and because I've got a lot of tests and quizzes like really a lot next week, starting from Monday.

After that, Shida and I sent our 3 girls to UNIMAS and then we had to pick up our 2 boys classmates, Syahmee and Nash to go to UNIMAS. First reason, they wanted to save their money. Second, they are the only 2 boys in our class that wanted to go to UNIMAS because UNIMAS held a convocation carnival which there were a lot of booth selling clothes, foods. and etc.

And I, acted like UNIMAS was like my own university. I went to Jana's house 30 minutes before we went back to UiTM, ate half of her cake, acting like her house was mine ahaa. And the rest was history because the next week we were told by our lecturers about our tests an quizzes. Chemistry quiz tomorrow, TITAS presentation on Tuesday, Physics test on Wednesday and etc etc. Allah save me
